BTW Key Club had a blast at the 2009 60th Annual T-O Key Club Convention held in Dallas at the Sheraton Hotel. Officers got to attend fun luncheons, dinners, and forums, found time to put together a dance and try out for the talent show, enjoyed exciting icebreakers, danced the night away at the annual Governor's Ball, and got to meet tons of new people that shared a common love for Key Club. At the awards banquet, BTW Key Club was a Top 3 Trophy Recipient for Distinguished Website and was ranked #12 in the Top 25 Key Clubs of Texas and Oklahoma. It ended with a farewell breakfast, where everyone said goodbye to governor Krishna Suthar, and said hello to newly-elected, Kevin Meeks. BTW Key Clubber, Hannah Robinson was also inducted as Division 25N Lieutenant Governor. One of the highlights of the trip was meeting Governor Krishna Suthar and Lieutenant Governor JJ Gossett, who are practically worshiped by BTW Key Club officers. Chaperones, Ms. Gnaedig and Ms. Zerbe, also enjoyed the numerous activities offered at the convention. A quick stop at the outlet mall on the way home was also a fun surprise! Overall, the Booker T. Washington High School Key Club had a great time at the T-O District Convention and is looking forward to returning next year.

This year, the T-O Key Club Convention was held in Dallas at the Adams-Mark hotel. Attending opening ceremony, an array of forums, luncheons, dinners, governor's ball, dance, and even going out on the town, BTW Key Club officers new and old along with advisor Ms. Baldridge and chaperone Mr. New, had a blast. We even got to meet up with one of our sister schools, Booker T. Washington H.S. of Houston, at the dance where we exchanged school cheers and performed them for all to hear. One of our own, Billy Chyan, got chosen to be on the Oklahoma quiz bowl team. Our 2007-2008 Key Club president was awarded a $1000 scholarship. We're also proud to announce that the Booker T. Washington Key Club got 8th place in the Top 25 Key Clubs of Texas and Oklahoma! Nice job guys!
