No general meeting for the month of December.

•  Upcoming Projects:

               *Handing out school supplies and donuts at Burrough Elementary. December 16th from 8-8:25 AM.

               *Tutoring: Tuesday, December 8th from 4 to 5. Evenwood Community Center. 8179 N. Hartford Ave.

               *Park Cleanup: Zinc Park. December 14th from 4 to 5.

               *Irongate: December 16th from 4 to 5:30. 501 S. Cincinatti at Trinity Episcopal Church.

               *Kiwanis Christmas Party: December 17th at Sam Houston Elementary School at 6PM.

• December Drive:

              *Toys: New or gently used. Deadline is December 10th.

• Sherwood: Monday, November 16 from 4:30 to 5:30 [2416 W 51st St] 
• Route 66 Marathon: Sunday, November 22 from 7:30 AM to 10:00 AM (Shift 1) or from 10:00 AM to 12:30 PM (Shift 2) [41st and Riverside]

November Drives:

• Small Toys: Bring small "happy-meal sized" toys for Mrs. Tatershall to distribute at a Chinese orphanage on the annual China Trip: Deadline Tuesday, November 24th to Room 210
• Children's Books: Bring new or gently-used children's books: Deadline Tuesday, November 24th to Room 210

MEETING THIS WEDNESDAY, November 18th during lunch in the Seminar Room! There is a separate meeting for A, B, and C lunches.

Here are several upcoming service projects for the month of October:

• Monday, October 19th: Help a teacher from 1:00-5:00 (Meet at BTW in Room 208)*
• Friday, October 23rd: Volunteer at Octoberfest from 3:00-7:00 (Shift 1) or from 7:00-10:30 (Shift 2)*
• Saturday, October 24th: Volunteer at Octoberfest from 7:00-10:30* 
• Friday, October 30th: Help at the Halloween Carnival at Whiteside Park Community Center from 5:30-8:15* 

Here are the October Drives:

•  Folders (2 folders: 1 point)
• Spiral Notebooks (2 spiral notebooks: 1 point)
  
• Markers, Crayons and Colored Pencils (1 package: 1 point)
  
• Candy (1 package: 1 point)
• Pens and Pencils Drive (1 package: 1 point)
  
• Cute Stickers Drive (2 pacages: 1 point)
  

Instead of having to get 1 "project point" and 1 "drive point" like normal, there is an exception for October. In October, both of your points can be drive points. This means that you can do two of the drives listed on the calendar and be completely done for October. We encourage you to participate in the October Projects though, which still count for points!

The first meeting will be this Wednesday, September 30th during lunch in the Seminar Room! There is a separate meeting for A, B, and C lunches. Remember to pay your dues at the meeting if you haven't already paid them! 

Just a helpful reminder to pay your dues of $17 to Ms. Gnaedig in Room 210 before or after school by September 30th. You can also pay your dues at the first meeting on September 30th.
